Musician Nguyen Tien passed away at the age of 68

 Trung tâm Bảo vệ quyền tác giả âm nhạc Việt Nam kính báo: Nhạc sĩ Nguyễn Tiến, tác giả của những bài hát nổi tiếng như: “Chiều mưa Hà Nội”, “Hoa cau vườn trầu”... đã qua đời tại Bệnh viện 108, hưởng thọ 68 tuổi.

Musician Nguyen Tien was born in 1953 in a family with artistic traditions in Nam Dinh. His father is the lute player Nguyen Tieu.
In his artistic career, he twice performed the electorate for President Ho Chi Minh at the age of 10 and 13. Graduated the Military Art School and worked at the General Department of Politics and Dance Company now the Military Music and Dance Theater. Before retiring, he held the position of Director of the Military Music and Dance Theater.
The musical path has brought him much success with 18 domestic and international Gold Medals for his performances of the election forum. In 2012, he was awarded the title of Peoples Artist with the role of dan bau artist, music director and conductor.
Peoples Artist and musician Nguyen Tien composed many and varied, especially "exploiting folk music materials of the Northern Delta", so his songs are bold with the soul of the ry, love for the homeland, the ry, typical as: "Fresh water", "Hanoi Rainy Afternoon", "Language Afternoon", "Remember the Goodbye Night", "Vietnamese Soul", "Love Story of Dumpling Leaves", "May Flower", "My dear Nam Dinh ", "Moving the capital"... In 2012, he was conferred the State Prize in Literature - Art for the song cluster: "Areca flowers in betel garden", "Phu Nuoc", "Rainy afternoon in Hanoi". ", "Lang Afternoon", "Remember the night when we left you" and instrumental music "The Five Fruits celebrate Spring", "Vietnamese Soul".
The Vietnam Center for the Protection of Music Copyright would like to send its condolences to the family of musician Nguyen Tien. May you gently step into the Buddha realm!
